Very busy few days for WMSAR: Suicide prevention teams intervened with a female attempting to take her own life by drowning last night. This brings the number of incidents dealt with by WMSAR volunteers to 4 over the last 7 days here in Waterford City. Volunteers put their training into play and kept the female safe until Gardaí and Waterford Ambulance Service arrived and took the person to safety. Patrol teams also dealt with 1 other individual who required First Aid, again the person was assisted by Waterford Gardai and Waterford Ambulance Service. Great work by all the services.
