WMSAR is proud to be a recipient of the Amber Flag initiative here in Waterford City centre. The flag was presented to our organisation by Patricia Behan of Suicide Aware earlier this week. Also present for the award were Waterford Councillors, Jim Griffin and John Hearne.

Patricia said of the award that “The Amber Flag initiative aims to encourage organisations to promote and actively bring about a culture change in the promotion of positive mental health within the community. It’s aim is to enhance the already good work that is going on where mental health is concerned by offering an award.”
