Today at 12:45 p.m, on 03/04/2015 a Waterford Marine Search and Rescue volunteer and members of the public assisted a person in a troubled state on the quayside of Waterford City.
Our volunteer, trained in suicide prevention by the HSE, approached the individual who was attempting to climb over the railings and enter the water, talking him back to safety.
Waterford An Garda S?och?na and Waterford Ambulance Service arrived promptly and the person was brought into care.Well done to ALL involved.
