At 9:50 p.m last night customers from the Waterford Marina Hotel saw a man climb over the wall and entering the River Suir. They rang 999 and alerted the hotel’s staff. Our volunteers immediately launched the rescue boat and recovered the man at the Waterford Boat Club marina.
The casualty was partially clothed and had sustained minor injuries. Crews administered first aid until the arrival of the emergency services who then took the man to safety.
