**100th intervention by WMSAR volunteers**
As volunteers prepared to stand down on their suicide prevention patrol last night, they observed a person climb over the railings on Rice Bridge. The land crews and the rescue boat proceeded to the person immediately. Contact was made with the individual who appeared very upset and confirmed that they felt suicidal.
Gardai were notified and arrived on scene quickly, taking the person to safety shortly afterwards.
